Opened in 1986, David's House has provided a warm, comfortable home-away-from-home for children using the Medical Center and their families.

In 1994, David's House opened its new home on property at the Medical Center. With its inviting front porch and farmhouse style, David's House could be the "grandma's house" of any child's happiest fantasy.

David's House is a spacious, rambling home with 15 bedrooms, two country kitchens, and plenty of indoor and outdoor play space. Nothing here reminds a child of a hotel or a hospital. It is a "safe" place where children can relax. Rooms are named, not numbered. Each is decorated in a theme that matches its name. Among them: Sheep, Dog, Bunny, Bear, and Cat. Whimsical, colorful murals adorn the walls. Toys, games, and books are in all the common areas for children to enjoy. Several groups donate beautiful hand-made quilts and stuffed animals to David's House--a source of joy and excitement for our kids.
