How David's House is Keeping David's Promise from Julie Loosigian on Vimeo.

In 1984, a five-year-old  entrusted his parents, friends, and neighbors with...

fulfilling a wish.

This wish developed over David Cyr's 3½ year struggle against leukemia.

His amazing story of survival and compassion has inspired thousands of people to support his legacy, this wonderful home-away-from-home, and now...

We are asking for your

Keeping David’s Promise.

At one point in our early history, we could welcome every family that called upon us. In 2003, David’s House comfortably housed families at a 69% occupancy rate. By 2007, the rate had increased to 79%, and it has continued to climb steadily. Unfortunately, our occupancy rates have risen to a point that requires us to turn families away on a regular basis.

in the last 5 years, we've had to deny 921 ROOM requests.

This uncertainty creates incredible anxiety for families already experiencing particularly stressful situations. We are excited to announce Keeping David's Promise, a $4,000,000 campaign with three focuses, one of which is the addition of...

four new bedrooms!

Once completed, the new space will allow us to absorb about 90% of the existing turnaways, meaning more families than ever can call David’s House their home-awayfrom-home. The addition will also include a Nursing Mothers' Center, two more bathrooms, an office space, and a multi-purpose room.

The campaign not only includes the physical addition to the house, it includes building our endowment and securing our annual, operational support. This campaign is a significant undertaking - the largest in our long history - and we need your help to make it a success! We need to raise more than twice our annual budget by June 30, 2013 - no donation is too small!

An extra-special thank-you to our major donors for helping us Keep David's Promise!
