Volunteers
Because David's House operates with such a small paid staff, we depend heavily on our volunteers to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. Our volunteers are key to providing a peaceful and warm atmosphere that families under stress welcome…they bake, cook, answer phones, check guests in and out, chat with families, participate in events, make quilts, and do everything possible to bring a little sunshine into our guests' lives. Our volunteers come from every walk of life, but the one thing they all have in common is an unwavering commitment to supporting our guests whether the family stays with us for one night or many months. For more information on how you can make a difference in the lives of thousands of adults and children each year, please contact Rochelle Berliner, our Volunteer Coordinator.
Last year, volunteers donated close to 5,000 hours of service to us,
which, according to figures used by Independentsector.org, totals close
to $95,100 worth of in-kind support!!!
